Press or Media or sometimes also refers to 'the agency of interpersonal communication' play multi-dimensional and multi-functional role towards the shaping, nurturing, constructing & re-constructing living as well non-living things by reporting the in a manner. 

While reporting things in a respective medium, most of the time media follow 5'W and 1'H comprises of What,When, Why, Where, Who/Whom and How. In short media people ask to questions to get into details of the story but the forgot their own introspection that why if i am raising a question, there are three fingers also raising on me asking what is your assessment? And this is very legitimate question to the media people.

After all, the point is we look into ourselves which alarms the following concern:

1. Professionalism and ethics;
2. In-service training of media professionals, including those in Ad, PR/CC or Marketing Comm. etc;
3. Improving and strengthening media education to the field professional and mass media students.
4. Protecting and defending independence and freedom of media;
5. Highlighting through international networking denial of freedom of media personas and attacks on them anywhere in the country and aborad.

If we want to develop independent, critical and assertive media is an integral part of a participatory democracy and in this information age only a powerful and robust media having ethically, legally, economically and commercially can perform the duties expected by the fourth estate people. Therefore, for this we need an impartial media association which full those five objectives and nurture the media professionals.

Indian Media Centre (IMC) is one of the association who takes care above five objectives which is needs of the hour. We have started the Ahmedabad & Baroda Chapter from 1st February' 2014. We look forward of your kind support in all ways.
