The Union Rail Budget 2016 Review

Certain Points need to be addressed by The Union Railways Minister Shri Suresh Prabhu: -

1. RPF- Railway protection force must be accountable in their job. many a times been noticed in media report that despite of presence of this force some train robbery, female molestation news appeared in mass media and force personnel did not take any action and accused fled away.

2. Training and Development to the personnel's: This is a very crucial part of any institution. unless the human intellects are not trained and motivated in efficient and effective manner, productivity will not come out in right manner. No matter how many training and educational infrastructures the railway established, if it not maintained and sustained properly by the quality faculty and researcher, quantity may increase but not quality.   

3. Maintenance of Existing Infrastructure: mostly rail accidents are quantified due to existing railway infrastructures are not been maintain regularly especially bridges, tunnels, signals, track etc. therefore, such system must be needed to develop in order to maintain and care to railways  infrastructures 24x7x365/366 days.  

4. Lower Berth allotment: lower berth must be given to the priority basis, means much needed passengers are senior citizen, pregnant women, critical ailments sufferers, differently-abled  or disabled etc. to make this strong implementation, power must be given to ticket checker or TTE.

5. Internship:  In this budget, it has mentioned that engineering and MBA students will get six month internship for helping better management participation in railway. This is a highly pre-requisite and welcome proposal of the government but mass communication students should also be included, because better communication leads to eradicate confusion of passengers time to time and a healthy relations can be develop between railways, passengers and interested parties.
